Why You Need Huggie Earrings. Now.

Unless you've been living under a rock, or without any connection to the internet you've seen huggie earrings on every celebrity, influencer and it-girl alike. So what made these little earrings catch fire and why isn't this trend going away?

There are 4 main reasons why huggie earrings have made such an impact on the jewelry industry and why they're loved far and wide by those who have them.

1.) They STAY PUT!⁣⁣
It’s all about making sure that the huggies you buy are the best possible quality. If they are, they will NEVER leave your ear unless you want them to. This means that they have to be designed with a very secure hinge and highest quality click-in system, like these of course.
Seriously, I wear my huggie earrings night and day. From sleeping, to the gym, to the beach, to fun physical activities like hiking and biking, they don’t ever come out or fall out. ⁣⁣
Clearly, this does not hold true for all huggies. Many aren’t made with longevity in mind, so just be careful when selecting that you trust the brand and designer to get the best possible parts & manufacturing. ⁣⁣

2.) They are really COMFORTABLE.⁣⁣
Okay, so how can one earring type be more comfortable than another? Trust me, if you’ve never worn a good huggie, you wouldn’t understand. ⁣⁣
For example, classic push back earrings have their time and place, but they can really hurt that sensitive spot just behind your ear if they start poking into you. Any side-sleeper (like me) will know exactly what I’m talking about. The huggie's round-all-around design allows you to do anything without that painful reminder that you have an earring in.  ⁣

3.) They can be STACKED and LAYERED.

More is more has become the mantra of jewelry wearers recently. It started with bracelet stacks. Cartier Love bracelets piled high on top of one another. Next came necklaces layering which is a trend that continues to persist. Ring stacking is when multiple rings are worn on one finger and on 3+ fingers on each hand. Now, we can’t wait to layer on the earrings. With multiple piercings in each ear more common than ever, there's no excuse not to wear multiple at once and no type of earring looks better layered up than the huggie.

4.) They’re super STYLISH⁣⁣.
Most of the time I completely forget about the huggies in my ears, they seem like a part of me - I honestly don’t remember I have them in. That is until someone complements me on my “very cool” earring style, that is. It happens daily. I’ve always loved huggie earrings so much so I have worn and will continue to wear them forever but they’ve suddenly skyrocketed in popularity which means you’ll look super cool wearing them!
